The Sea Lab-best field trip ever!

On May 11, 2011 Emma went on the coolest field trip. They took a trip on a boat out into the bay and performed science experiments to learn more about the sea. It was called the Sea Lab! Not only did they perform science experiments but they learned about sea creatures that are native to the area around San Diego and CAUGHT some of them in a net! These are some of the best pictures from our time.

It was so cloudy with May gray but the clouds eventually burned off and it turned out to be such a beautiful day. We were so blessed. The class that went the next week got rained on!

These were some of the creatures we caught. Some of them were caught before in better places. I wondered if that big lobster was for lunch but unfortunately....no! It was so cool to see everything though. Matter a fact the octopus was trying to climb out the side hole of the bucket! SO cool!

Our whole trip was so fun but the best part was just spending time with Emma in such a fun environment. She and I love being on the water and neither one of us hardly ever get sick. It was pretty cold when we were moving but that wasn't such a big deal. I would do this field trip again ANY DAY! (plus our marine biologist was such a cutie!!!)
