Eating lunch with Shamu

Yesterday I got to go with Emma and her class to Sea World. It was a killer hot day and we all were so exhausted by the time we finally got on the bus. It was fun though as well. One of the highlights was getting to sit so close to the killer whale tank and eat lunch. At first it was only a shady place to sit and eat but then as we were about half way through the trainers let the whales into the underground viewing tank and there were a couple that swam around the rest of the time we ate. We were so close and the water was so clear and they would come up and brush themselves against the glass. I am always in such awe and could watch them forever. The other part I found terrific was watching the polar bear. There was only one in the water at this certain time because she or her is the most submissive one and they wanted to give her an opportunity to play with the new toy first. Pretty cute.

Do you think Sea World is a good place to bring a 4 year old? We have been thinking about bringing our kids there. Looks like you guys had fun.

I love Sea World and I know that any age kid would love to see all the many things they have there. There are so many things to do besides just the shows. You can pet a bunch of the sea life all over the park and if you come, you can stay with us if you want to!
