Update on Emma

Emma does not have Swine flu. I repeat, Emma does not have Swine Flu. The doctor tonight was frustrated that we were even having to see him. He was frustrated with the school for sending Emma home when it was only heat exhaustion, just like I thought, and he was frustrated with the school being ignorant to what the symptoms are. In truth though, the school was only doing as instructed by the Health Department. I almost felt bad for the school after today. Emma does get heat exhaustion easily though because she doesn't like to take the time out of her play to get a drink now and then. I guess that will have to change. I'm just glad that she can go back to school on Monday and not have to wait the seven days. She does still have a fever or 100.4 but early to bed and more liquids are the cure. Whew! Dodged a bullet!
