Swine flu hits home

About an hour ago Emma's school called for me to come pick her up. The nurse said that she had a 100.4 fever and because of the recent scare with swine flu and because it was over 100 degree's, the Health Department requires her to go home and not come back to school for 7 days. That's right you heard me 7 days. Can I just tell you that there is no way she is missing 7 days of school for what I think is a little heat exhaustion. The school said that she could return only if shes seen a doctor and the doctor clears her to go back. So she has an appointment this evening to see the good ole Doc. Ok really if my kid does have swine flu then we'll deal with it and of course they will shut the school down to clean it, all because of my kid, and 300 parents will all be upset with me because my kid got the flu but and that's a big BUT, I really don't think it is anything. Emma felt fine when she left for school this morning and now she is acting completely fine. She even said she was hungry. So I totally don't think it's anything. None the less - pray for us.
