Christmas 2008

It's taken me forever to catch up. Busy I guess. These are the highlights from Christmas eve and day. It starts with bread! (as many good things do!!!) I made mom's rolls for the second time. (the recipe will be on my food blog soon) The first time things didn't come out so well and this time well, though they were cooked pretty well, they were a little big! Tip for next time!!! Next was making a fancy dinner all by myself. Not to hard but it did make me feel good that it was so tasty. Especially with Mom's roll recipe turning out pretty good. The next morning Brent made a fire and we had a toasty breakfast. For a long time it's been tradition to eat Eggs Benedict with sausage on the side and Grape juice to drink. We of course didn't break tradition. Yum.. I can't wait until next year!!! After the food fest we settled down to open presents. Something I have learned is that no matter how old you are you still look forward to opening presents. At least I do. Emma latched on to this one present inparticular and kept asking if she could open it. It was making me laugh so much that she was dying to open that one. Just to make her crazy I made her wait! It was her Jedi light saber. She actually got two so she can play with her friends. Funny. I shouldn't torture her so much but it's pretty fun. One of our big presents this year was sleeping bags so that we can go camping over the summer time. I was pretty excited about this and so I opened it right up and crawled in and took a nap. Mmmm....nap! Well merry belated Christmas ya'll. Hope everyones was very merry.
