Really? Does it have to be every morning at 6:30?

Hmmm Christmas break. Ok ok winter break. It the days of old, you know when I was a kid, Christmas break was so looked forward to. I think it was of course, the anticipation of Christmas but also of just being able to sleep in and enjoy the break from school. I wondered this time around if the anticipation would be the same. I did look forward to the time off from our regularly scheduled program but I wasn't sure that the excitement was all together there. The first real morning of our break I wake up to this odd noise. It just keeps coming and it won't stop. I lay in bed thinking to myself and wondering what this odd noise could possibly be. You see I think I have a gift of noise. I used to use it in the Dental office when I worked there to be able to listen and know if our next patient had arrived or if my Mother, who was the front office manager, was putting an emergency patient in. Or if someone was coming or leaving the house by the way the door closed. Or if Emma is getting into the fridge when she's not supposed to. Sorry I digress. I am a little proud of my talent of listening and being able to decern noises. This noise however perplexed me. I couldn't figure it out. Not only could I not figure it out but it was annoying the begeebee's out me. So I got out of bed and this is what I saw. Emma was turing the globe that was supposed to be a Christmas present but she'd seen early and she was checking it out. (Great present by the way. She loves it.) It has this certain creak to it however that is quite disturbing and will wake the dead! ME! I thought it was so cute though that she was sitting there learning that I snuck back into the office and slid around the corner before she saw me and took the picture. The next several mornings however when this pattern repeated itself I did not find her so "endearing"! I JUST WANTED TO SLEEP IN! It is a beautiful globe and we have all really enjoyed learning more geography but man that squeak or creak or whatever it is has got to be stopped! Oh ya, just to let anyone who is curious, she really was sitting there with her toes curled under her and the thing around her neck is a monkey stuffed animal.
