Practical and Crafty
I love this defini
tion... Practical-practical is anything that can be done and is worth doing. While I was in LV I saw this pic in the Martha Stewart magazine and I thought, "I can do that!" Not only could I do it but it was something that I would use, already have the stuff to make it, and be grateful it was done! I l
ove having a towel on the hand rail of my oven. With this new oven the towel "conveniently" slides off. Now it doesn't! Velcro Rocks! Thanks Martha this tip was very practical. Another little practical craft that I did this past week was a beach bag. Last summer I gave in and bought stuff from this beach store and they gave me a beach bag as a thank you gift. The bag however was not only
cheaply made but made of cheap fabric. I loved the size of it and that it was light and comfortable to hold and so I looked it over and knew I could make it out of better material. I have never really used bias tape before but the bag had it on it and so I figured it out and sewed it up. The picture doesn't show everything but I think it turned out well. I had promised Anita a bag when I decided to make mine and so I sent her this one partly because I had to send her my thumb drives anyway. I can't wait to find material for mine and make up one for me. I love sewing when I know what I make is going to be used for a good thing. It makes me feel very..... (I couldn't find the right word so feel free to pick one of these) able, accomplished, adept, brainy, consummate, cool, cultivated, expert, gifted, hep, hip, masterly, polished, practiced, proficient, savvy, sharp, skillful, talented, wised up, and last but not least...with it!
