Gavin's Baby Blessing
Halloween
weekend was spent in Las Vegas with the specific purpose of attending my nephew Gavin's baby blessing. While the whole weekend was so fun and we loved being there, I have to admit that my favorite part was Gavin's blessing and the testimonies that followed.
My brother Trevor is such a great guy. T. (his nickname) is six years younger than me and I think sometimes I don't give him credit for the wonderful man and Priesthood holder he is. I think often times he comes across as a different person than
who is really is and people don't get to see his tender spiritual side. I use the word tender not as a soft and squishy type of word but as a word that would mean he is tender with how he treats his testimony. I don't see him as overpowering and domineering but as a quiet strength who knows the Lord and feels the influence of the Spirit. This, for me, came out in Gavin's baby blessing and I'm pretty sure others felt it as well because of the remarks made during testimony meeting. A few different family members got up and bore their testimonies and there was such a sense of family and love of family. It made me not want to go back to SD but it reconfirmed that I would always have that family with me. The first picture is of the group of family and friends that were able to be there and then the other two are just us posing and goofing off. We left shortly after that to get back to town but the trip was totally worth it even if it was so quick and especially being able to witness the Priesthood is such a way on Gavin's behalf was totally worth it!
