Anita's Bridal Shower

This was Anita's Bridal Shower!  It was such a great night!  Janice Rowland, her daughter Robyn and Marilene my sister in law threw it for Anita.  I always imagined being the one to throw it but having moved away a few years ago put the kibash on that.  It was a lovely party nonetheless and I was relieved at not having to plan that out.  Party of the food was provided by Janice's youngest daughter Emily who I went to school with.  She did a fab job and the food was de-lish!

Some of the best parts were being with family!

Before the party ever started Grandma and Taylor were swinging around while singing, "We're going to a party, we're going to a party!"  It was pretty dang cute and Mom had Taylor primed to go!  Another cute thing was that Jessica flew in and surprised Anita just for that night!  She had no idea they were coming.  They left the next morning but it was so awesome having them here!

It was pretty crazy seeing my sister go through that all.  Not that she shouldn't go through that but just that it was the first time I've been in the sister position for something like this.  Sure all my brothers have been through that and I attended the bridal showers of some of my sister in laws but I wasn't "their" sister.  It was great to see Anita get all the attention and it was fun to see who was there especially because I knew a few of them!

On the back of this shirt it says the date of her wedding.  I thought it was such a cute idea!  I may have to steal it for someone else someday!

Earlier I sad that I wanted to someday throw Anita a bridal shower but ya know I was so glad that Marilene was there to do it in my stead.  She is such an awesome woman and I'm so blessed to call her sister!

Taylor and Faith were cracking us up all night as well as Robyn's little boy Jake.  They were all so interested in the candy but then the presents came out and suddenly the interests changed to helping Anita open her presents!  There were a few times we had to send little ones out of the room for the uh...adult presents!

I thought this was so cute!  I wish Maddie and Sally could have flown in to be there as well but alas!  We got all the granddaughters there but one!

I was trying to remember the last time just the girls in our family took a picture together....um never!! No really I don't think this has ever happened!  Dang I was tan.  A little too tan!

This is Janice Rowland and her daughter Robyn.  They threw the party for Anita with Marilene's help and are two of the sweetest women I know!

Lastly and not because they are the least important but because that's how the pictures got put here is my cousin Lynnette and her middle daughter Kennedy.  I have to tell a little story here because it's so sweet.  I love Lynn to death for so many reasons but one is because of her incredible ability to give.  She made Anita an arrangement of silk flowers to take to the Bridal sitting before the wedding and they were amazing!  She came over one night and whipped them out!  We had such a great time with her there.  She brought her little guy Braden and her older daughter Courtney as well as Kennedy and we laughed and cried a little and all around had such a good time visiting!  Oh, Lynn will always be my hero.  She's a woman I look up to because of her honest to goodness real life and how she's faced challenges.  P.S. Almost no one makes Hero status in my book!

Oh ya btw there were other people there but these are the ones that are family or made this night possible.
