Oh I love to see the temple

As I've said before, seeing my sister was just a little different experience than I thought it would be but in a totally and completely wonderful way! Anita asked me to come and assist my mom in the bridal room at the temple. It was an awesome experience and one I look forward to sharing with my daughter. The ceremony was of course a tear jerker and it was only made better because there were friends there I hadn't seen in years and years! After the sealing came the pictures. The grand kids were so so cute with everything. These are a few of my favorite pictures from that moment and thankfully Marilene had the forethought to bring out her camera!
I love how much all the little girls saw Anita as a princess that day!  That is something they will never forget!
This is a picture that is often filmed!  Craig upset while Gavin smiles!  I'm not sure why Craig was upset but it makes me laugh to see the difference!  Great shot Marilene!
Of course this had to make the list!  So precious with Taylor and Anita!
And of course there's always one in the group not looking at the camera!  I loved it that Anita made all the grand kids her wedding party!  They've meant the world to her!
As everyone left Anita, Lawrence, Maddie and I stayed behind to take a few more bride and groom shots and then I went back into the bridal room to help Anita get changed. I got her out of her dress and then ran to the restroom but when I came back she was in tears. The reason for the tears are private but I realized something in that moment.  My sister is a complex web of emotions.  She may not show you whats going on underneath the calm waters but she is full of compassion and love and understanding.  In her moment of joy there was true and honest empathy for a situation outside of anyone's control.  Memories of times when she had been there for me came flooding back and I realized that in that moment I was given a gift to a deeper level of trust.  Don't worry that wasn't the end of the tears but all the tears that came after were joyful...or mostly joyful!
