Playing Hookey

I've spent this last week in bed sick.

  

I'm not talking about this kind of sick......

This is the "Oh I really want to play today so I'm going to try to not look fabulous even though I do, fake being sick, and then when everyone is gone I'll have a day to myself" kind of sick.

Or even this kind of sick...

This is the kind where you're not feeling well but you want someone to be miserable with you so that you have company.

I'm talking this kind.....

The everything hurts, nothing helps, and you are miserable kind.  The kind where every time you blow your nose your throat hurts and every time you lay on your side your ear aches.  I'm talking about full on stay in bed because you can't lift your head for being dizzy kind of sick. Lose your voice, don't want anything to eat, everything is too loud, leave me the &#!! alone kind of sick.

Doc said I had a sinus infection.  I feel so bad for anyone who's ever had this and I've just kinda shrugged it off.  Let me apologize for that action now.  THIS WAS TERRIBLE and I'm sorry if I ever blew you off!!!  So I'm feeling better.  Not 100% quite yet.  Still don't think I want to be around anyone for a few more days but there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)  Yesterday I had no cold meds except for the antibiotic the doctor gave me and a few pain pills for the old head.  I didn't have one glass of honey lemon tea for my sore throat and I only had one nap.  My eyes are still a little goopey and I have a runny nose and a cough.  Still wondering if I didn't actually have pink eye but the doctor said no.  

 Anyway, hopefully I'll be back to my same old self for my trip to VEGAS this weekend! 

Dang I loved those glasses.  Stinkin lens, why did it have to keep popping out and get scratched up?
