Emma gets an award

Emma received an award today for her math skills. I am pretty sure that almost if not everyone

in the class receives an award at some point in the year and now was Emma's turn. None the less, it was still cool to see her getting the recognition. She was so excited this morning. She jumped out of bed and yelled at me to get out her way that she had to look her best for her award!!! We did up her hair so pretty and dressed her in a cute outfit. This afternoon Brent met me at the school and we watched the little awards presentation. It was pretty cute. I don't want to say that the award is going to her head or anything and I want to of course give her time to relish in the moment but she is cracking me up. She has been wearing it since she got home and when I told her she had to take it off for dinner she got pretty upset. I reasoned with her that she didn't want to get it dirty. Now she is reading her homework books and she has it back on. Too funny, too cute!

Keep it up! The more academic awards she gets, the more likely she'll get on the honor roll in jr. high & high school. Add that to good SAT/ACT scores and she'll have colleges wanting to award her scholarships just like what happened to Chris! Go Emma go!
