The best part in my opinion of moving from an apartment into a home is the yard. I love having my very own private back

yard. I love being able to go outside in my pajamas or my bathing suit or without shoes. (All things I have d

one recently) I love being able to put whatever I want into my tree or cut off any branches that for whatever reason I might not like. I love being the one to make the decisions about what goes where and what disgusting smelly plants I do not want to smell as I walk out my front door. I love being able to send my kid outside and say, "Go play outside." and know she is safe and not around weird obnoxious kids who are bad influences on her. I love to hear the birds singing while I am laying in my hammock reading a book and I love watching my daughter play in the sprinklers and bounce around on her moon boots.
I love being abl

e to escape out into the back yard for a little peace and quiet. I love watering my lawn and I love making things pretty and neat and clean. I love being the one responsible for the way things grow and taking the guilt and frustration when they don't grow. I love being able to fall asleep on the lawn in the back yard while my daughter plays on a
hot day (and sneaks the camera away to take silly pictures). I love having a house and everything that goes with it but I love our back yard the most. I have sat on a number of occasions already in the middle of the open back door just looking out and enjoying the view. My neighbors have a
balcony that looks over our back yard and the other day I was out watering the lawn when I saw them snuggling together enjoying the beautiful evening light. I knew exactly what they felt right then. So I just thought I would share a few moments of the things that I have found joy in.

Brent enjoys burying the bodies from his hits in the back yard. They make the plants grom better.

Hey woman, Funny thing... I was totally thinking about you and how much fun we used to have together in YW in the Royal Crest Ward. I miss that time. Anyway, I google searched your name and I found your blog. I miss your friendship. :( It looks like you are doing well and having fun. Congrats on getting your home. Check out my blog sometime. Hopefully, it will keep us connected. Love you girl.
