Field trip to the Zoo!

School field trips will go down in history as being so cool for every kid out there. I don't think the parents necessarily feel the same way. Yesterday Emma's class went to the Zoo. I have never seen so many kids out of control excited about getting on a School bus. Well ok it's true I have but yesterday the excitement level was out of control fun to be around. It was so fun to watch those kids. Here are some pics to tell you about our trip.

Emma in front of our bus
Emma still so excited she can hardly hold it in. I thought it was funny at this point. The kids are still so little that they can sit three to a seat!
This is the resident peacock. He was showing off for us yesterday. So incredibly beautiful. Pop up this pic bigger and zoom in. He is gorgeous. This is a video of one of the panda's. Every time we visit the zoo the panda's are sitting there eating with their backs to us. This time I got her on video moving. It may not seem very exciting but it was kinda cool to me. For anyone that he been paying attention in the news the last little while this is the sister to the new baby that was born not to long ago at our zoo. The baby was in the tree and you could hardly see it.

Emma just having fun
This is the stinky petting zoo. I hate petting zoo's. I know I am an old goose but I start to sneeze and get a runny nose if I stay there too long. Thankfully Ms Bils had us out of there in no time. I am allergic to the hay. Plus those places are just so stinkin stinky. I don't know that I would ever get used to the smell on a farm if I had to be a farmer.
Last but not least this is the end of the day. We didn't loose one kid. I understand from talking to a few of the other Moms that there were a few kids that they could have lost there on purpose but of course they didn't. Here is almost all of Emma's class. One girl is out with Mono. Poor thing!
We had a really great time. When we got on the bus there were at least two kids who fell asleep. No wonder. I could have been one of those kids! We were told in the beginning that we were responsible for a certain number of kids and that we were supposed to take them around the zoo. I paired up with the teacher Ms. Bils because she was going fast and wanted to be able to see a lot. She is a freaking speed racer. I love her though and to be honest I liked the speed that she went. I had to laugh because at the end of all of that, when we got back it wasn't quite time for the bell to ring so the kids got to go out and have recess. It was like they had never been to the zoo that day. They went out and played like it was nothing. Oh to be a kid again. Emma had a great time and I loved being with her. I have decided it is totally worth it to spend the day with my kid and her class. I always have the best time even if I am beat at the end of the day and yesterday I was. At about 5 o'clock last night was ready for bed. I finally turned out the lights at 7:30 and didn't even wake up until about 6:30 this morning. Now that is what I call a good work out. I wish I had been wearing a pedometer! Thanks Ms. Bils for the great time yesterday. I'll be your wing man any day!

When i was pregnant i was on bedrest for 3 months. I was getting so sad one day so Seth picked me up and put me in the car and we drove to the San Diego zoo. I was in a wheelchair minding my own buisness, enjoying the animals and the beautiful california air, when that d@mn blue peacock in your picture ATTACKED me!! Yeah, that's right, the stupid thing spread its wings all wide and charged me in my wheelchair! ... i'm lucky to be alive...
