have mixed emotions about this party. The party itself was fine and I won't go off about how many Halloween parties there are every year, nor will I go off about other related subject concerning Halloween but I will say this...I'm glad Emma got to dress up so many times and use her costume so many times. It sorta makes it worth all the money we put into it. If you can't tell she went as Princess Leia. That's a long story in and of itself but the jist of it is that we waited last year to get the same costume and then couldn't fin
d it. Emma is like and Elephant in that she never forgets anything and when we told her last year she could be that this year she remembered. As soon as the costumes were hung at Walmart, there she was telling us to get it before they ran out. Anyway I digress, the school party was ok. Like I said before the party itself was fine but then they had a parade for everyone to look at all the kids in co
stume. I really don't know how the kids felt about it but the parents stood there and stood there in 90 degree heat waiting for their kid to pass. At one moment I thought, "If there happened to be a fire marshall present, the school would big time be fined." There is no way everyone could have made it out safely if there really had been a fire. Oh well. Emma had a good time and that's all that matters. I was suprised however at the turn out of parents in her class room. I think there were three kids who didn't have parents there at the party. In past it has been me and one or two other parents wanting to help with stuff like that. No this year the volunteering is next to impossible because there are so many. Count my blessings I guess right?
