It's finally Spring!

I have been looking forward to Spring for forever! Spring is my favorite season! I love the thought of new birth and the mild weather and the sudden burst of flowers and color. I love that you can wear flip flops and a sweater together. I love that sudden cool wind that whips through the air, reminding you it's not quite summer. One of my most favorite parts of Spring are the flowers. I love love love the vibrant purple flowers that spread like a blanket across hillsides. With Spring in mind I asked my sister and parents to come and see Spring in SD because I wanted to share with them all the wild flowers and beauty here in our wonderful valley. Mom and Dad was the post before and this post is more about Anita's visit.

My sister has this camera that will focus on one color and make the rest black and white. It's a pretty cool feature. She got a chance to play with it when we went to Carlsbad Flower Fields. Some of her pictures turned out so great! This one of Emma was one of my most favorite.

This picture just got added because I love how Emma is leaning on Brent. They are the best of buds!

No explanation needed!

My beautiful, gorgeous sister!

Part of the thing I loved about the flower fields is that you can go right into the rows of flowers and take pictures. I told Brent that I wanted to lay down and make out for awhile in the middle of all the flowers but he wasn't too keen on the idea with the all of the dirt and bugs. We did see a couple doing just that but oh well, maybe someday!

This picture cracks me up because again Anita used the black and white feature but Emma's lips and cheeks and tongue turned up red n the picture too. Cute cute cute!

I thought this was pretty cute of M and I. My poor hair that day though. I should have had it cut before Anita came and it was so windy that no matter what it looked like the wind would have destroyed it.

Just another cute picture of Emma in the flowers but I love how she is holding onto one of the flowers near her face. So so sweet!

Emma is really into rocks right now and there was a chance at the end for her to find some gemstones. It was only a couple of bucks and she had a good time doing it. Coke should pay me for this picture!!! Big surprise it's in my hand right? NOT!!!

Before Anita left we took her out to Wahoo's. It's become a bit of tradition with us when she comes. There is no Wahoo's in Vegas so she has to get her Shrimp bowl fix here! This picture has become part of the tradition too! We love having Aunt Nini come to stay. Emma said after she left that she would be happy if Aunt Nini just moved in with us. I wish she were closer but maybe not in the next room!
