The afternoon part of Memorial Day

After we got home and settled from our bike ride we went to a friends for a Memorial Day party. There were a bunch of families there and it was so much fun! That's me holding the kids on my shoulders and letting them jump off. Their mom took the pictures from her camera so they aren't very big but they are big enough to be fun! Brent, Emma, and I played in the pool nearly the whole time. The sun was out and there were tons of kids to entertain. We played on some boogie boards that were in the pool and had water gun fights against the boys. I got to hold a little guy that's only about 18 months (I think) and play with him in the water for a little while. It really was a great great day. I went to be thoroughly exhausted with my shoulders and legs already starting to ache but the pain was well worth it! We had so much fun as a family on Monday. There was one regret that I realized as the day drew to an end, I realized that I had told Emma she could stand on my shoulders too after I had a small rest. She never got to. We moved onto another game and I forgot and she never got a turn. She's cool though! We have a pool and she can get a turn pretty soon! What a great day!
