Halloween X 5

I was about to start this post by saying that Halloween was more relaxed this year but then I realized that it really wasn't! I was just in charge of different things this year. For Emma though Halloween was great. These pictures are sort of in crazy order and guess what...in true Halloween fashion, I'm not fixing them straight! This year Emma was a vampire. I'm not really sure I liked her wanting to be a vampire but it was only for one night oh I mean 5 nights!

Emma before Activity Days Big sister party.

This was the schools fall festival. Brent and I loved this guy! Kind of like "Mario...his later years!" BTW I have no idea who this guy is!

One of two of Emma's favorite games at the festival.

Emma thought got sure she would win something this year as a vampire in the costume contest...she didn't :(

#2 of Emma's favorite games. She and Brent played this (obviously) together and he kept trying to get her to score. She was having a hard time with the stick. So funny though watching them together.

and back again at her #1 favorite game!

These two pics are of our pumpkins. We finally broke down and bought a kit thinking for sure Brent would win the best carved pumpkin prize at work for a third year in a row. He was out shown though. Better luck next year! Oh one other thought. I realized about half way into carving the second set that Emma didn't get to carve at all. What kind of an idiot am I? I felt really really bad so Friday night while she was at a party we went and found her this huge pumpkin to carve. It would be shown here but then after she carved it we put it in the fridge and awhile later cut it up to bake it. It was baking when I woke up and never got a picture of it. She did a Pacman ghost and a heart. Next year I promise to be a better mother for Halloween.

This last picture was at the school again but this time it was for the costume parade. Can you see a difference in make up. I found a cute picture one night with a vampire and they had a widows peak. They also had drawn on fangs instead of wearing them. With the bright sun light you can't see the fangs. I felt pretty bad because we didn't get any pictures from the Trunk or Treat. I was busy and have a few regrets about that night. There was a time when things were going along smooth that I could have taken Emma around to do some games and all I could think about was making sure everything ran smooth. I thought Brent would be taking her around but then I saw him helping with one of the booths. Emma kinda went around by herself until I went and grabbed her at the very end and we did a couple together. I felt really bad about it. It's one of those moments that you realize you will never get that moment back and you see yourself as a lamo parent. I get wrapped up in taking care of my calling forget about my first calling. Sorry Emma! I know Halloween was a little cruddy this year. I promise to make it better next year!
