The end of an Era

It's true, this part of Emma's life has come to a close.  Emma made it as far as blue belt on September 3. 2011.  She told Brent and I that she was thinking about quitting and going on to something else.  That something else we still haven't found but the search has been fun.  We're so proud of our Emma. Blue belt isn't an easy achievement.  She only had red then brown and then there would have been junior black belt so really she achieved the start of the upper level.  I'm sad to see it go really.  I think it was more of my dream than hers.  I always wanted to take Karate when I was a kid.  I think mainly because of the movie The Karate Kid with Ralph Macchio.  There was something about that Japanese flag headband he wore and the thought of kicking some trash! Well sweet Emma, thanks for living my dream and thanks for working so hard.  You did great!
