On August 19, 2011 we went to the races. The horse races at Del Mar that is! Brent's work paid for a family evening out. We were in a pavilion in the middle of the track with great food and great views. His work had put together a little package for Emma with a fun hat and toys that had to do with the races. Having never bet or been at the races it was such an enlightening experience to partake of. Nth had betting tickets for each family and of course we lost all of it until the very end when Brent won $8! Winner winner chicken dinner! After the races there was a DEVO concert. It was Emma's first! So fun. THANKS NTH! This was a great great night!

| In this heat they raced on the grass. I'm not entirely sure why but it was cool because they were so close. It was loud and thundering to hear them come beating down the track. Plus the noise from the crowd across from us was immense! |

| We only stayed until they played Whip It! We danced and laughed and then headed out. Emma was beat and her ears were buggin but she loved being at her first concert. |
