If you can't smell it

March 16, 2012 was Emma's Science Fair at school.  Her experiment this year was to see if you took away the sense of sight and smell if your taster would still work.  She set up a Saturday and asked several friends to come try the experiment.  Her results were varied and some of the tasters had a hard time with the things they were trying but she still had so much fun.  The four items were apples, onions, jicama, and pickled ginger.

Each year they have some sort of a hands on project for the kids to do while at the fair.  This year it was to make homemade flashlights....eh the project seemed like a good idea but it really didn't go well for the volunteers helping to make them.  It just wasn't thought out well enough.

I gotta give props to this mother son duo the Loptaka's.  They both were willing to try everything the right way and give positive feed back during the actual science fair.  Emma had set up a tasters booth and some of the kids really didn't want to give it a shot.

Way to go Emma!  We're proud of you for giving it your best effort!
