Emma at 4:45 a.m.

This morning I wake up to my daughter saying, "But Daddy I am not tired." He is getting ready to leave for work. I look up at the clock and it says 4:45. You have got to be kidding me. I have another hour and fifteen minutes to sleep and she is not tired. Of course all of this is going on inside my head. I'm dreaming right. It has to be just a dream. NOPE! Brent comes in and says, "Can Emma lay on my side of the bed and sleep with you?" Great, good, wonderful. She'll fall back asleep and we will get up at six like normal. "Mommy, (it's now 5:05) I can't sleep." This time I choose to act like I am asleep. "Mommy, (now the time is 5:08) I'm not tired." I barely lift my head and say, "TRY!" Toss, turn, wiggle, kick. "Mommy, (5:20, still to early) I can't sleep, I'm not tired." I reply with, "You have to." Humph! Well! I hear her getting mad. Toss, turn, wiggle, kick. "I'm not getting to sleep. I don't want to sleep. I want to watch TV." Silence and the time is 5:39. "Mom, can I watch TV?" "NO!" I say emphatically. "Your mean" she says. "Yes, don't ever forget it" I say. 5:42...."I'm making my own breakfast." Stomp stomp stomp. "Hallelujah!" I think to myself. She did get up and make herself a bagel. She even cleaned up after herself. Then at about 6:40 we start the hurry you are going to be late for school routine which only makes her mad so then we go a few rounds for a little while. Finally I get her dropped off at school and get back home to the quiet that I live with on Thursdays (because I don't have a car to get to the gym with) until 1:55 when I pick her up from school. Anyway when I got home I checked my email and there was this thing from my friend Marian and I thought it was very appropriate to post along with this silly morning escapade. So here it is I hope you all like it.

Gonna Be a Bear
In this life I'm a woman.
In my next life I'd like to come back as a bear.
When you're a bear, you get to hibernate.
You do nothing but sleep for six months.
I could deal with that.
Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid.
I could deal with that too.
When your a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you are sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs.
I could definitely deal with that.
If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business.
You swat anyone who bothers your cubs.
If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too.
I cold deal with that.
If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling.
He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.
Yup, gonna be a bear!

Love ya'll have a great day!

P.S. Brandi don't get your hopes up to high. Chargers will win and be the AFC Champions! Hope it doesn't break you heart into to many pieces.

Ha HA HAAAA! The first HA is for the VERY thought of the Chargers winning...the second HA is for when the Patriots wipe the field with them...and the third HAAAA is when you're crying Sunday night because you're realizing how dumb you sounded while saying the Chargers could beat the Patriots!!! LOL...MU.HA..hahahahaha!

Yeah..ok...moving on...Emma sounds like the cutest thing in the entire world!! Nicci is almost 2 and she's FINALLY getting teeth! She got ALL her top right teeth in one day and so the past 3 days have been AWFUL! I was up with you this morning...the only difference is my child was whining consistantly for hours...gah! I don't know what i would prefer..a baby whining whom i feel sorry for and yet makes me want to pull my hair out...ORRR a child that can actually talk and call me mean...i think the talking one would be a lot more humerous...but NOT at 5 AM! holy crap. lol. I can't believe she's in Kindergarden. Was it a hard transistion for you to let her go to school? Or was it time? ok...im done talking. remember me? Brandi? WHo never shuts up?? k. Bye.

ps. Chargers are gonna looooose.

xoxo

oh dear. you're forgetting one important detail...The "big guy up stairs" ins't going to be on ANYONE'S side that is playing football on His day...Sunday. And ESPECIALLY not your precious Ryon Bingham because he should KNOW better as a member not to play on Sunday. I'm sorry Cyndi. The Chargers are sinking already and they haven't even begun to play... :(
