Our good friends, having just recently moved from the SD area, gave us a
groupon for a place in Poway called
Sweet Home Chicago Pizza. (click on names pizza and groupon for info) Since it had been raining and I in no mood to prepare food because I wanted to be out playing in the rain and not stuck inside the house, I decided it was time to find out what this place was all about! WOW! We had such a great time. Let me start with ordering the food. We ordered Stomboli and a thin crust Hawaiian pizza. The menu said it would take 45 minutes so we knew we had a bit of a wait. The wait was no problem though because they have TV's everywhere, a few pin ball games, and arcade games and NOT ONLY THAT but they give you markers to draw on the walls.
The walls are all covered with names and drawings and peoples funny thoughts. We all left our mark on the walls. I took pictures with my phone because that's all I had and I forgot to take a picture of Brent signature drawing, sorry babe. When we go back and I'm sure we will I'll get
a picture and add it to this post. By the time we got through drawing on the walls and playing Pinball our Pizza and Stromboli arrived. I've never had Stromboli before and I was ever so impressed with it. We really didn't need it and could have done just fine with the pizza but the little extra was fun. Both menu items were delectable. I loved the addition of herbs to the tops of both and I loved the sauce. I realized when I got home later that I wasn't left with the typical heart burn or extra side effects that usually follow. That was impressive! One of the best things was the service. Everyone was incredibly nice and they asked how everything was when we left. They seemed to really want to know how our experience was and if we would come back. I was left with a wanting to return and try the deep dish pizza! The atmosphere was relaxed and really enjoyable and I have to say that we plan on going again soon. For those of you local Poway and surrounding area friends it's just a little past the Walmart on Poway Rd. before you turn to go to out to Ramona but right before the Mossy Nissan! Go, try, enjoy, we did! Here's a big FAT thank you to Margo and Trevin for passing along this tasty treat to us. It was awesome! You guys are the best! Thanks again!

Glad you liked it! It's the least we could do after all your help. We tried the Chicago Stuffed Pizza and it was awesome. However, I don't even want to know how many calories were in it. :)
