To everything there is a season...

Isn't that so true? A season for learning, a season for growth, a season for serving in Young Womens and a season for serving in other area's. My season for serving in YW has long since passed and may someday return again but for now it's past. I miss it. I miss it a lot. My "little" YW have gotten married and/or moved on and I miss spending time with them. I got a chance the other night though. Well not to spend time with "my" YW but the YW in my ward. They asked me to come teach them to cook. I was completely flattered. I will be the first to admit that there are tons of more talented cooks in my own ward than me but I was deeply touched to be asked. We, well I won't speak for the others but, I had a great time. There's something about hanging out with those girls that lifts your spirits. Our YW's presidents younger daughters took hold of my camera and took so many pictures that my battery went dead. I had to laugh though because most of the pictures turned out sooo great. Matter of fact there were so many great pictures that I had a really hard time choosing just a few for the blog. So I chose just a couple of my all time favs and then I made a slide show for the rest that were so great. Oh btw I was so thankful that the girls did grab my camera because I got totally wrapped up in teaching that I completely lost track of time and I don't think I would have gotten a single picture if it hadn't been for them! Thanks Kensington, Kaitlyn, and Sammy!

Ok so Deanna might not like this picture but I think it's really telling. The smile/smirk is so sweet and the fact that she was prepping food and smiling at the same time made me smile! So sweet!

Sorry Amy I'm sure you didn't want this picture of you eating on here but seriously I couldn't resist Laurels face in this picture. She was cracking me up all night long. Her eyes are so expressive. So funny!

This picture just makes me smile. No wonder the girls turn out so great when they have leaders who are so great! Emily loves those girls and I get the feeling that she's just a touch protective of them! Don't mess!

This is one of two pictures of sisterly love. The girls were so cute together and so ready to be helpful and so ready to be a part of everything we were doing. I told them to hug and instantly they grabbed each other for a hug! So sweet! Such a great reflection back on their parents!

This obviously is the second sisterly love picture. I'm overwhelmed by these two. They are never embarrassed to be crazy and have fun but then they are never embarrassed to be loving or spiritual or sensitive or anything else. THEY STAND AS WITNESSES! Really, all these girls stand as sisters in Zion. I'm not saying they are perfect because I of course only ever get to see the good side but really all four girls who were there that night impressed me beyond words.

This last picture is truly my favorite. Callie DID NOT WANT HER PICTURE TAKEN!!! The girls either didn't know or :) didn't care! This picture was a surprise to me because I can almost make out a smile. She said not one word to me the whole night but she also didn't complain about anything and jumped in to do everything that was asked!

Such a great night! Thanks again girls and leaders. I loved it! Here's the slide show!

I heard it was a wonderful night with the best food ever! We may need a cooking lesson with the Beehives soon. ;)
