.....or at least that's what Emma's hoping to be able to say when her cabbage gets to be full sized.
Emma's teacher gave all her students a beautiful cabbage plant. Emma came home sooooo excited about planting it. Ya, we have no sun at our place. Even if we were to plant it in a potter we have no where to put it where it would be safe and get lots and lots of sun. So we called our good ole buddies the Dunns and begged for a plot of land. Emma, about to give up on having the largest cabbage quickly turned her frown upside down and we drove to plant her little plant in great soil. It's been a few weeks and the plant looks great. It gets lots of love next to the tomatoes, chives, and cucumbers and on the off times that we aren't able to get to their house to water it, Sis. Dunn or one of the kids does it for us. Emma's teacher sent home info about entering her cabbage into the Bonnie Cabbage contest and if Emma wants to we will. I just love that we have friends who will share their garden space, water, time, and love to teach my little one about this wonderful wonderful part of nature.
