School Science Fair

(Sorry this was back on 3-18-11. I've been a major slacker in the blogging department!)
Emma wanted to participate in the science fair this year again. I was more than happy to accommodate her. She decided on Static Electricity all on her own. Here are a few pictures and a video from that night. It was really well done this year and we had a great time being there!

Aren't her letters cool! Thank you Cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot! Oh ya and she wanted everything pink even though you typically think of electricity as being yellow! That's my girl!

This lady was a huge hit. she brought all these animals from our local area and the kids went crazy when they found out they could hold them. Good thing we were a little on the early side. The video show's Emma with the snake and it's pretty cute. Uncle Curtis would be so proud!

The science fair committee arranged for these outside groups to come in and this raven was from one of the places that rescues birds and wildlife in the SD area. Seeing that beak up close was a little intimidating but totally cool! Plus look at my kids cute smile!!!

This was one of the coolest parts for me. There's a time period for each class where the student has to stand next to their project for half an hour so that anyone with questions can ask the student about their project. Emma totally held her own and answered all sorts of questions from kids and parents. I thought about bringing a whole bunch of balloons for her to demonstrate with but I didn't think the science fair committee would enjoy picking up a bunch of popped balloons all over the campus!

Emma holding the snake. She's an old pro!
