Is it worth it?
Friday was our school carniva
l. It was small but I was impressed with how many little booths were set up. I volunteered to run a booth for awhile. By the time my I got to the end of my session running the booth I was pooped. I thought we would then go home. Emma had been there for about an hour and I thought she would be ready to go. No instead she was in line to get her face painted. So we waited. I typically do not allow her to have her face painted. There really are many reasons for this but the biggest one is because it is always so much money. Well this time it was 75 cents. I gave in. I had seen "few"
other kids with their faces finished and was impressed with the work. The "few" was because litterally there were only a few. There was only one woman doing all the work and she was doing it with such definition and intricacy, however, she was taking forever. I got finished with my shift at 6:00 and we didn't leave the field until 7:30. We had been in line all that time. I must admitt her face was cute but really was is it worth the wait? I think not! Emma had it on for about 45 mins after we came home and then it got washed off for bed time. Oh well what can you say? It was difinitly worth it for her! Her are a few of her buds from school. Cute kids! It cracks me up that she is almost a head taller than all of those boys.

Well, I think it was worth it. Reasons why, #1 good photo op #2 something to blog about :) #3 She was willing to wait in line on her own accord and I bet she wasn't complaining b/c if she did you could have said, "We don't have to wait, it's your choice." #4 That is the best face painting from a carnival I have ever seen!!
Oh, it was worth it. If kids have a life list of things to do before they hit the double digits... I'm sure "get my face painted" is on there right next to "stick my tongue on a frozen flag pole". Ya just gotta do it once! Thanks for visiting my blog. I love to see yours. BLOGGING ROCKS!
you are such a nicer mom than me! Of course I doubt any of my kids would wait in line- no matter how awesome the face painting was, patience is not their strong suit! But Emma is awesome and she looks adorable, so after everything I say definitely worth it!
Aww, TOTALLY worth it! On our honeymoon i TOTALLY got my face painted at a carnival and i kept it on for like a little more than 24 hours! lol. TOTALLY WORTH IT! And whoA. THat lady did a rockin' job on her face cyndi!
So cute! Her face looks awesome. I always avoid those because of cost, but that was fantastic for 75cents!
Someday Emma will say to you, "mom...remember when you let me get my face painted at the school fair?? that was a fun memory" and you may or may not remember, but she will ;) You're such a great mom!
You definitely got more then you paid for...Awesome work!
