No more Training Wheels! HOORAY!!!

It's true! Emma learned this week how to ride her two wheeler bike. We are so proud of her. This has been a really long time coming but as a friend pointed out...it's like potty training, their the only ones who know when their ready! Now she's a riding machine. One of the inspirations to get her riding was 1. Selling her smaller bicycle and getting her one she actually fit on. 2. Selling the tandem so she has no excuse but to learn (that wasn't really why we sold the tandem but it was a nice side effect. We sold it because we have to many hills around here and it didn't have the gears to support the hill climbs) and 3. Telling her she couldn't ride around Lake Miramar until she learned! Yesterday while she was out riding around the parking lot she asked me if she could now ride around the lake. That made me pretty happy! These video's are the first day she learned how. I didn't grab the camera until she already had ridden a little bit because honestly I didn't think she would get it on the very first lesson only because of previous lessons. The first one shows that I'm not a very good mother :O) only because she has no helmet on. The second was after Brent got home and we were going out to run errands but Emma wanted to show her Daddy. She ran into a car! Hehe she was ok! The commentary by the person filming in the second is a little interesting! Anyway we are so proud of our Emma girl for getting it the very first lesson!
