I guess I should have done the Disney post before
this one since we did this
before we went to Disneyland for the night but for some reason in my mind I wanted to finish our posting of this trip with the temple. Oh well! Like I said Emma and I went to see the Newport Beach temple before we went to Disneyland. I hadn't researched, looked on line, found directions, or any of the usual stuff you do before setting out on a little adventure. I just figured that Brent had the GPS programmed to locate any of the LDS temples in the United States and I had looked it up the day before on the GPS so I wouldn't have any problems getting there. WRONGO! You know the GPS and I really weren't friends this trip. It lead me astray more than I care for. Once again Emma and I got into the car and took a few freeways excitedly heading toward our destination then low and behold we were in the middle of nowhere! I ended up calling my friend Jennie for directions and the proper address because I just couldn't find the temple. Finally the GPS, when again programmed with a new address, told me it was only a few yards in front of me and still not able to see it when all the sudden there was Angel Moroni! Finally we had found it, and thank you so much Jennie because seriously the GPS was totally wrong, but alas it was closed and under construction and we could barely walk around. Still the beauty was immeasurable and like all other temples I have ever been to there was a serene quiet to the grounds. Emma and I loved our short stint there and hopefully the next time we are there we'll be able to actually see the beautiful front doors complete!
This was a great trip. I loved that most of our food, entertainment, and hotel were paid for but the downfall was Brent having to work. I'm thinking that if he stays with this company for a good long time which we are hoping for, our vacations just may center around him working for a while. Thanks again Nth Generation.
