Well it's not a Dump Truck...YET!

One of the things on my bucket list is to learn how to drive a Dump Truck. You know, one of those huge trucks that the tires are taller than you and the bed of the truck lifts way up in the air to dump out a bunch of dirt. We used to have one of those yellow Tonka Dump Trucks when we were kids and Roger and I would play with that one and others under the apple trees in the back yard. The Dump Truck was my favorite! So let me climb up into the drivers seat, teach me the basics and let me loose on a big dirt landscape. Hey don't judge me! Maybe it's all that raw power, I don't know but it sounds like the best time of my life! Well this doesn't really come close but I feel like it's one step closer to driving with the big boys one day! I've been spending some quality time with a good friend down at the Bishops Store House unpacking boxes, restocking shelves, occasionally making lunch for the volunteers, and filling orders when patrons come in. I've been doing it with her for awhile and it's been a really really great thing for me. I feel like it's been what I like to call a rut remover! We're only there a few hours every week but serving my brothers and sisters has been great. Well obviously this is me on the Forklift at the store house. I was just posing for this one but really, honestly, truly Bro. Quiggle did teach me how to drive it outside, away from anything I could damage! Have you ever heard the expression, "Turns on a dime"? This thing seriously turns on a dime! Bro. Quiggle said that if I put in enough hours and studied up a bit that I could take the test and become a certified operator. Ya know if things are slow at the store house I just might put in some time and do that. You never know when you are going to have to have a job using a forklift. It's not quite a Dump Truck but it will do for now!
