Breaking Dawn
Ah
...Breaking Dawn! What am I going to say. Well well well before I say anything about the book I guess
I'll just post this event. Earlier Angela Swenson had called me at the beach to make sure we were going. She is so stinkin cute. She said she wasn't sure if she wanted to go or not but I told her she had to go. I loved having here there with me. I had never been to a midnight book party before. I really didn't know what to expect. I think I really really thought that there would be a bunch of women my own age getting this book. NO! There were a bunch of giggly girls getting the book. I wondered where their parents were. Ok Ok not all of them were under age for curfew but a good majority of them were. When we walked in you could hear all of the chatty little girls. (They were not little but it sounds better that way) We were a little bored and tried to find the 3rd book so that we could read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn again so that we could just skip that part later but Borders was smarter than we were and put all of those copies away. My sister made us Team Edward shirts and to tell you the truth and I am not just saying this because my sister made them, but I think ours were some of the best ones. I think we are looking rather sexy in these shirts don't you? After we got our books, which really didn't take as long as I thought it would, we went to Am Pm (
I love this pic of Anita in her sexy little sports car of which I am so jealous) and got a few snacks and then went home and found a comfy place and started to read. I got to page 114 at 3:00a.m. and my eyes were so blurry I had to quit. Anita and Angie read further until somewhere around 4. I had a hard time reading while other things were going on. I really had to wait until everything around me settled down so that I could concentrate. Besides I knew that with everything we had planned, if I read,
Brent would be left out. As it turned out, I got food poisoning of some sort at church ( not exactly "at" church but it hit me at church) and ended up in bed for the rest of the day (reading my book)! I finished Tuesday morning at around 2 a.m. I would have finished earlier but of course there was laundry and being a mom. I felt like it was a fabulous book. Maybe my favorite out of the four. One of my favorite parts is when Bella is (stop reading if you haven't finished) learning how to harness her shield. It really made me stop and think about harnessing our own shields in our lives. Don't think I am a dork. This book made me stop and think about a few things. It will certainly remain one of my favorites and in my collection for years to come!
