I had this great idea to plan this activity (scroll down for pics) where all the kids would get together and play baseball and football and have a great time at the park. Really I was bored and wanted to get together with my sisters but I thought I would teach the kids how to play these sports first. I decided that I really needed my brothers with me. Ever since Thanksgiving when we had our first Ross Turkey Bowl, I have wanted to play football. I thought I had gotten my chance awhile ago but then was stung by a bee on the bottom of my foot and had to stop. I think it would be really a lot of fun to have a bunch of women who like to be active, get together and play tag football. I don't know if anyone would do it or not but it sounds like a lot of fun to me. Well anyway this day didn't go exactly as planned. I should have known when I started off at Walmart trying to find a Chargers football and they had none and I ended up having to buy a Steelers football. (Rich would be so proud I choose his team!) You can't play football in this town unless you have Chargers somewhere on the ball right? I should have known from then the day wouldn't go according to plan. Oh well! So we started off with baseball. Half of the kids didn't want to play and then there were some older kids who were better than the other kids and they wanted to play real baseball whereas the younger kids just wanted to run around the bases and hit that ball off the T. So we played a little but I decided that we needed a break, partly because I was tired of my own kid's whining. Then after we had had a little water break we started to play football. I decided that I would be the quarter back for both teams because that would be fair. Well there were some that didn't like that idea and so again we only played for a short time. I was kinda disappointed that we didn't play for longer but then it was nice to sit and visit with the girls. We had a pretty good turn out and there were people there that aren't always there so that was nice. In the end it turned out good. I think we all had fun and got to have some non mommy time even if it was for a short while here and there. Anyway here are some pics of our day.

I think I look pretty good as the quarter back! What do you think? Elizabeth is so great in this pic too. I love that she is one second away from sprinting down the field. She was all about getting the ball to where it needed to be.

I love this picture of Max. I love how the T is flying through the air because he has hit the ball (and the T.) so hard! If you zoom in you can actually see that the T. is off the ground. Way to go Max!

This is one of the only times Emma wasn't upset about something. Poor girl! She hasn't ever played sports with anyone else but her family and so every time she gets left out of something she got upset. I love Azure in this pic too because she wanted to play with us so bad and she just hung in there. What a trooper!

This picture cracks me up because the T. was almost as tall as Azure. Did it stop her though? No way! She hit that ball just as well as some of the other kids! Barefoot too!

Even beautiful Skyla was in on the football action with her Charger Pride!

Doesn't this picture just say it all? "Please don't get out, because I want to bat and that's really the only thing I care about!"

I couldn't help but put this picture in. These two are totally checking out some guy. Skyla is saying something like, "Oh man is he good lookin." and Lily is saying something like, "Couldn't you just take a bite right out of him!" I love it. Can't you just see these two little girls as the best of friends in Nursery and then sitting together in primary causing all sorts of problems!

Azure was getting so into this. She was making me laugh so hard. I think the kids that were playing were having a good time but out of everyone I think Azure had the best time. That little girl is not even three yet and she has such great team spirit!
