Christmas Crafts

I have been pretty crafty this year. I can post this now because everyone has received their gifts and opened them. Anyway here is some of the stuff I've done. Enjoy!
First is this little tunnel made out of Popsicle sticks. I don't know why but I love making stuff with Popsicle sticks. This is a tunnel for our train that goes around the tree. I thought I was pretty clever to use Lego's as a support while gluing.

This is the tunnel al glued up and ready to be painted. It did get painted and I planned on putting fake snow around it to match the other part of the tree but I got busy with Enrichment and other stuff and never got back to it. Maybe next year buz now I'm bored with it. It turned out a little taller and not as long as I hoped for but it works.

These little finger puppets and pouch I copied from a set that I bought. It was fun making them. I used felt and glue and then reinforced the sides with clear thread on my machine. The pouch is out of some material I had lying around. That was a peice of cake to whip up on my machine. I sent it to Roger and his family for Christmas (my brother). Hope they liked it. I havent' gotten to talk to them yet.

Obviously this apron went to Emma's teacher. It was a joint effort with both Emma and her friend Nicolas. She loved it! I'm so glad. She actually wore it all day long on Friday.

These last two were sent to my inlaws. The vegetarian one was for Dennis and the other was for Kathy. I hope they liked them. We thought they were kinda funny. It was pretty easy to do for the most part. Angela from my ward helped me think of how to lay them down and get it all straight in my mind. Plus she provided the paint for me. Thanks Ang! The only thing I didn't like about the last one here was that I put the Don't in capital letters and it kinda breaks up the sentence because the eyes automatically tell the brain that it's a capital and that you should start a new sentence. Oh well. That's what you get when you do homemade! Emma and I also made these cute little smore decorations but I forgot to take a pic until just now. I gotta say now though that I am glad all the craftiness is over. All I have left is some wrapping of gifts, some baking of mom's rolls (it's only the second time I have done this so I hope they turn out good) and Brent has to make a pie. Then we are ready for Santa to come.
