got a hankering to put up Christmas early this year. (This post was supposed to be done about three weeks ago) Usually I put it up a few days after Thanksgiving. For some reason I just felt like I needed a little Christmas spirit early this year. When I got every thing ready except for the decorations on the tree I realized that somewhere last year the ornament hooks had been misplaced. So for the third time that day I went to Walmart. As I was standing there checking out the clerk said that I was the 15th or something to buy hooks. She said that she had been hearing all day about people putting up decorations early. I know typic
ally we all complain that the stores put out their Christmas stuff earlier and eariler each year but I have to say this year that I am really needing this season more than before. I don't know if it is because of what has happened with the economy or if it is just a yearning to be closer to my Heavenly Father and Elder Brother but I need this holiday so much more this year. It totally doesn't feel like it should be Christmas, what with me wear
ing my capri's and t-shirts still but in my heart it is there loud and clear. I can't wait to see the rest of the season unfold. Every time I feel stressed about this time of year in the next 24 days I am going to look back at this post and remember the feeling I had when I lit the Christmas tree for the first time and my little neighbor girl and Emma screamed in delight!
