Conference Time
I love
conference. When I was a little girl we we always had to watch at least one session, usually Sunday morning. It seemed like Momma always had something special planned for either breakfast or a fun lunch in between. I wondered every time what it would be. I guess I should have been wondering what would be talked about during the talks and as I got older I gained an appreciation for those things. Now that I have a seven year old and she gets a little bored I have remembered some of the things that I went through as a kid when it came to sitting for "two whole long hours"! I mentioned to Brent Saturday night that I wish I thought ahead and bought something special for our Sunday day of conference. He thought like he usually does, on his feet, and came up with cinnamon rolls. I was so excited. I love his cinnamon rolls. He found a slightly different recipe that suggested you leave them overnight uncooked in the fridge which was great for us because then they could be baked during conference. Emma had a good time laying out all the butter and toppings and then rolling them up and pinching them into separate rolls with string. I felt very much as a family this day. Thanks Momma and Daddy for always setting the example
of family for conference time with us kids. I didn't have to wonder or guess what my life would be for this day because I had such a great example to follow. This last picture just makes me laugh. We watch conference on the internet because we can't get it on our tv and in a way it's nice because we can all lay around on the bed and be comfortable. Emma and Brent were goofing off and I couldn't help capture the moment.
