Fall Festival

We've never done a fall festival before. Our other school always had a spring festival. The kids were allowed to dress up in their Halloween costumes and that added to the fun. I volunteered to work at the prize booth. There is not really a word describing how I felt after two and a half hours at the prize booth. During the event there are a few words that come to mind however. Mayhem, chaotic, stressful, overwhelming, crazy, ridiculous, needless frustration, mind-boggling, helter-skelter, confusing, haywire, in a muddle, out of order, snafu, snarled, topsy-turvy, unsettled, untidy and completely unorganized. Need I say more? I don't think there is another word to use. I was only supposed to be there 45 minutes and then I thought I would be able to walk around with my family for a little while until we went home. No no the last shirt I dont' think came and if they did come you wouldn't have noticed because it was all of the afore mentioned words. In the end they were running around trying to find anything for parents to redeem their tickets with. They even went to the teachers lounge and bought soda out of the machine and charged double for it with tickets. I went home really really tired. Here are some pictures though of Emma that Brent took, which I'm glad he did because I didn't get to see her do any of those things. Bitter? Maybe just a touch but glad I was not the only one who stayed on longer then they should have to help because in the end we could all laugh about how insane it was.

P.S. Emma was Princess Leia
