There are way to many pics for this post. I decided to post a slide show. I really don't like to post slide shows. Don't ask me why but for some reason I am adversely abjected to them. Did you like that...adversely abjected!
HEHE. Ok so this was the good ole 4th of July. What a great day. We were in the pool for a lot of it. I love the pic of everyone sitting around in the hot tub eating. Emma was so excited because she got to drink caffeine! Before that Roger and Anita were playing with Emma and Maddie.
I couldn't believe how strong Roger is. He was carrying the girls on his shoulders down under the water and back. Then Anita got into the act. It was so great and the girls were getting such a kick out of it. I love how he is wearing his sun glasses the whole time too.
Afterward his poor shoulders were so red. Of course being the man he is, he blew it off like it was nothing. I don't know how many times he put those girls up but it was a bunch. I know he kept walking with Maddie on his shoulders back and forth and he had Anita and Emma up there a couple of times too. I love the forth for so many reasons. It seems like I have never had a bad forth. This one was no exception. We spent almost the entire day at her gig and we loved it. I think this was the one and only time I have ever seen my dad play the Wii or any video game for that matter. I love the picture of Mom asleep. I don't think she knew I got that one. One of the other things that kinda made me smile was Emma and Maddie. They haven't gotten to spend to much time together considering we live so far apart but to see them standing next to Mom and Dad's car says everything to me. They were the best of buds. They played like they had never been apart. Everything was so relaxed and laid back. I can't help but think of those that were and are fighting for our country so that we could have such a day with family. How proud I am to be an American. How proud I am to raise my hand to my chest and recite the pledge of allegiance or sing along to the national anthem. I often tear up in doing so. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for placing me in the family I am in and on the continent that we live in at this time. There are several in our ward who serve faithfully in the armed services and I see what their families go through when they are deployed. I see the strength that not only the men have but of these women who basically become single parents for months on end. I have never had to know that strength or try to embrace it. I greatly admire the sisters in my ward for who they are and what they go through to help their husband to help us to have a free country. Thank you to all of those who serve so willingly, men and women, mothers and fathers! May our country always be free!

BTW I just have to say, it's not the pledge of intelligence, it is the pledge of allegiance. Hee hee! Love you girl!
I love the picture of her with hands over the ears.... classic!
You can't fault me for calling it the pledge of intelligence. It was one in the morning when I got finished with the post! Oh well I'll change it!
I wish so bad that we would have been in town! It looks like everyone had so much fun!!! I was glad that roger and his family came in early before we left town.
