Post 9 - Wrapping up Vegas

Las Vegas is always bitter sweet for me. I love going to see my family and being able to spend good quality time there. Sometimes it's hard to leave and sometimes it's been a long enough trip and it's easier to leave. It's never "easy" to leave though. I always miss my family. I have made family here in SD. People that mean so much to me. I am grateful to the friends I have made here. Many of these people I consider brothers and sisters and not just because I go to church with them. There are a few others who I don't go to church with that I have been able to get to know and find kindred spirits within. I am happy here. Well back to wrapping up our trip to Las Vegas. All in all it was a good trip. There were family things that happened that seem like will always happen. Feelings hurt or misunderstood are, I believe just a part of being a family and as our family grows it will only be harder to work together. There were some very big highlights this trip though. One of the biggest and brightest was Maddie! I haven't really seen her since T.'s wedding and man how she's grown up. She is full of love and joy. I really got a chance to get to know my niece on such a personal level. What a blessing that was. She reminds me so much of both her parents. She says she looks like her dad and acts like her mom but I can see more than just that. She kept on saying, "Yep your a Ross (my maiden name) alright!" Every time I would do something that would remind her of her dad she would say that. I was driving down the freeway and yelled at someone and she said it. Every time I started to crack up! Guess you don't realize how much you are alike until your kid points it out! Some of the other highlights were just seeing my nieces and nephews growing up. I can't believe how much Caitlyn looks like she could be thirteen and she is definitely not or how tall Bailey is. Cote is so smart and Faith is such a chatter box. Well anyway it was a great trip and I loved being there.

Whatever! I don't yell at people on the road any more. Course I don't yell at them any less either.
