Just a cute Emma story!

On the way home from school everyday I ask the question, "How was school today?" I always get the same response, "Good." Everyday I have to ask more detailed questions. Today I asked, "How many laps did you run?" There is a running program at school for the kids to run in the morning, recess, and lunch. She replied with saying just one. So again I ask more direct questions. "How come just one," I say. Now I am not trying to push my child to run laps 24/7 it's just that she likes to do it and it's good for her. She replies back to me, "Because my knees and feet were tired (pause and then she says) and they told me not to run anymore." I am a little intrigued about who would tell her not to run anymore and who she told about this problem with her knees and feet being tired so I ask her, "Who told you that?" In the sweetest of all Emma voices she says, "My knees!" Then she says, "Really my knees friend the brain told them not to run because they were tired.!" I tried really hard not to seem like I was laughing at her because I really wasn't. She was just so cute about the whole thing. Then she says to me, "They are all friends because they are all inside my body!" Oh I love my little girl!

So cute. Emma sounds like such a down to earth kid. I still laugh about her skin wrinkle thing. Did I tell you that Afton asks me several times a week if princesses fart? I say yes, then I hear her fart. If princesses do, then she can right?

You already know this, but Emma is so adorable. How awesome that everything inside her gets along. At least she is learning to listen to her body, that, we know, is a gift in and of itself!
