Not the surprise I had hoped for

I posted the other day about how excited for an upcoming surprise. Well events happened and we didn't get to go. I had planned a trip out to Bates Nut Farm but oh well another time. Instead we went to the Zoo. I love having passes and being able to go whenever. We went up to see the polar bears first thing and while we were there we ran into the fun polar bear character. It was fun to watch him interact with the polar bears through the three inch glass. The youngest bear who is 7 was really taken with this strange creature and kept following him down when he would go below the water level or touch the glass with his paw. It was great to see his curiosity with the unknown. Also while we were there the Zoo Keeper for the polar bears threw them each a huge pumpkin. The bears loved them. One was treating it like a ball while another jumped up and down on it until it broke. The third bear was trying to hide it away from the other bears. It was pretty funny to see them steal each others pumpkins. Anyway these are some of my favorite picks from the morning.
