Field trip w/ School to Birch Aquaruim at Scripps (June 09)

I love field trip time! These are a few of my favorites. This field trip was to Birch Aquarium at Scripps. Neither of us had ever been before and we were both excited to be going.

This crazy looking leaf is actually a sea horse. It was one of my favorite exhibits there. Very very cool.

Emma exposed on all sides!

I don't know why I love looking at the jelly fish so much because they can sting you so bad but I do love looking at them. Maybe it's because they look so much at peace and so graceful.


The bangs are driving me nuts but she wants to grow them out and they don't bother her so oh well! This was during a little lesson on how to touch sea creatures and which creatures to touch. So much fun when you go on a field trip and get to see things others don't usually get to experience.


On the bus coming or going, I don't remember which. I hate bus rides but I remember as a kid loving them and Emma loves them now. The only reason I hate them now is because my knee's don't fit. I guess they don't consider parents when they make the buses!




This is an octopus that was fitting itself into a glass jar. I was with a little girl named Dyani when we watched this. I love her comments!

The aquarium was so cool. I didn't get any real great shots of just Emma at the tide pools because there were always other kids in the way and I didn't feel like cropping them out but for the forth of July we took T. and his family and there are some great shots there so just wait a little bit and I'll have it posted! If you are ever near La Jolla, go to Birch Aquarium at Scripps. It's not a bad price and it's a great time!
