Christmas day 2009

So after all the hubbub of Christmas morning and breakfast and all that, I got a super bad headache. Santa got me a new eye mask and so off to bed I went with the eye mask, peppermint, Tylenol, and Advil as my best friends. I slept for a while then when I finally did role out of bed the headache wasn't so bad. It did decide to hang around for another little while but finally left toward the evening time. I was pretty bummed that I didn't get to talk to family because by that time a few of them were not available. While I was sleeping though this happened! Brent helped Emma make her first bunch of cupcakes. Notice the pj's! I asked her at one point if she wanted to get out of them and she said they were so comfortable that she wanted to stay in them all day. Having the headache and such, I just didn't care! I came out to the most wonderful smell ever and best of all she had so much fun doing this. Brent let her do it on her own with a few minor helping hands but she was so proud to do it on her own. After she was finished with that I took over the kitchen to put in my new toy. I have wanted an under cabinet radio/mp3 player forever. I love listening to music when I cook and clean and all of the above and usually have the set hooked to my ears but I finally got my Christmas wish this year. Isn't this such an attractive picture of me setting up my new toy? I told Brent that I had to have a picture of this. The thing I liked the most about this was my feet propped up on the microwave! The oven was still just a bit to warm from Emma baking so the feet had to go up. What a nut. All in all it was such a great Christmas. We are so blessed. I have a great family even if they are in several different states. It may be a little late for this now but I think it is a fitting way to end this section of the blog....Merry Christmas everyone!
