New Years Eve day our friends the Beesley's came to play. I had been told that our pool and hot tub were heated and thought it would be so much fun to go swimming the last day of the year. It is something wacky and unheard of to swim outside on the very last day of the year and sounded like just the thing to do to say goodbye to 2009. Well when we got there we quickly learned that yes the pool most likely was heated but not very much. The hot tub was nice and toasty but the pool was frigid! (Emma likes that word so I thought I would use it here!) The kids were making us laugh because we dared them to jump in and they did. I couldn't believe it but they did it, well all except Nathan but you can't really expect a three year old to jump into a freezing pool. I thought after the first time they jumped in that that would be it and they would stay the rest of the time in the hot tub but oh no! They were in and out of the pool and hot tub and playing around in the pool like it was a ward summer day. I couldn't believe it. Silly kids will do anything even if the water is cold. You gotta love their spirit of adventure! Here are some cute pictures to go with our day!

Here's the first picture. Elizabeth is already shaking and she hasn't even gotten in yet! I love Nathan standing in the shadows watching the crazy's!

Then in goes Elizabeth!

Then in goes Emma!
-----------------------

Then in goes Max!
--------------------

Then all three go in the hot tub!
---------------------------------

Here's actual proof that they were swimming IN the pool and not just quickly getting in and out! CRAZY'S!

Here was Emma coming out of the pool one of the times. Oh it makes me shiver just thinking about how cold it really was. It may look like a summer day and in truth the sun was shining and it was a lovely day but it was still December 31st and yes we live in paradise but even in paradise the water turns cold on December 31st!

Last but not least is sweet Nathan! So cute! I'm gonna copy his swimsuit and make my own like that. I love it!
