Chrimas Morning 2009

This is Christmas morning at our house. I forgot to take a breakfast picture like I always do but it was delish as always. I'm already craving the Eggs Benedict for next year because I only get them on Christmas morning. Anyway here is the low down on our wrapping paper frenzy!

This first picture cracks me up. First off look at the toes. So cute. Emma got a new DS game in her stocking and so while breakfast was being made she got to play her new game. The other part of this picture that is so funny to me is the bottle of sparkly in her arm. Brent and I always share a bottle together on Christmas Eve. It's kind of our little "lovers" Christmas tradition but we didn't end up finishing it so Emma got the rest in the morning. The way she is holding it is so cute. I love that girl! Oh ya notice the pj's...they will be in every picture she's in. I guess I did get a breakfast shot!

Braxton! He was so interested in the present Emma got from Cousin Chris. Emma was interested in it too but Braxton couldn't seem to leave it alone. I guess he probably smelled Chris' cat. Silly Braxton!

Brent's brother and sister in law ROCK! They always get Emma such cool presents. This is a kids cupcake kit. Emma has used it twice now. It has the best recipe's in it too and Emma loves being in the kitchen. I love it that she loves it! Thanks Rich and Alisa you guys really do rock!

This is another one from Rich and Alisa. Every year for the past three they have sent a pertty necklace. This is a big hit! Emma loves jewelry anyway and the fact that they come in cool boxes makes it all the better. Just to let you guys know, Emma has kept every box and they are proudly displayed in front of her jewelry box with the accompaning necklace in each. Again thank you for everything.

The only reason this picture made it to the blog was because of Emma's smile. It was just way to cute to pass up!

The recliner doesn't "usually" sit right in front of the tv but for this day it did. This picture too made it to the blog because of the look on Brent's face. So handsom my man is!

Brent asked Santa for a digital kitchen scale. This year he finally got his wish come true. It is a really cool scale too! Thanks Santa (hehe)

I just liked this picture because Emma seemed really humble at this moment. I remember her taking the time to read who each present was from and spending a moment with each of everything she got instead of rushing on to the next one. It made me happy to see that she wasn't rushing though this fun process.

So this isn't the most flattering picture of me but I liked it. True my hair is a disaster and I have red eyes that I didn't go in a fix on Photoshop but I love my smile. Sometimes I look at pictures of myself and I can see exactly what I was thinking of at that moment. The thought that this picture makes me see is the picture from above. The order these pictures were taken in makes total sense that I would be pleased with my daughter at the moment and my face shows it.

Emma's big present from us was this doll house. We wrapped an empty doll house box and gave that to her so that Brent could set it up before Christmas morning. We sent her on a wild goose chase with clues and everything all around the neighborhood trying to find it. She said she knew it was in the garage but we managed to delay her finding it for just a little while. When she opened the empty box though you could tell she was a little scared that we had really not gotten her the doll house but just some box. I shouldn't play around with my kids mind like that but my parents did and so I have to get back at someone for that right? Notice the pj's. Just wait I'll explain more in the next post!
