Like the title said, these are a few of my favorite moments from before our Thanksgiving feast which was actually on Wednesday for reasons that will get explained in another post. Oh and a shout out to my dad. I couldn't remember where the camera was because I switched suit cases at the last minute and I thought I'd left the camera at home. It turned out to be in the computer bag. Meanwhile my dad let me use his fancy camera the whole week. It made me a little camera envy but alas, $1000 bucks is really more than I can afford right now for a camera like that! Thanks though Dad, I had fun playing around with it!

Favorite Moments
November 21-24, 2010
Emma sleeps. I know I'm obsessed with pictures of my kid asleep. I have always been and I'm sure I'll always be!
These two pictures are so awesome. I'd been helping Marilene grade papers one night, (she teaches first grade) and I'd been called away to do something else. Emma jumped right in and asked if she could help her sweet Aunt grade papers. You know Marilene never told me how she did grading papers but she was at it for awhile so I guess she did pretty ok. She had a great time doing it though. She still talks about it all the time!
This is Emma's cousin Jenna. They are nine months (about) apart and are the best of friends. This is one of the hardest things about living away from family. Jenna and Emma are so good to play together without argument and when we leave it tears my heart out because Emma misses her cousins SOOO much but especially Jenna. They played and played together and when it was time to leave, Emma cried. That's tough to watch and completely be useless to help.
One of our favorite things about going to Las Vegas is that Mom and Dad have a Sonic very near. Aunt Nini had gotten the kids a little slushy and Emma was heralding it like a trophy! Cracks me up but we really do love Sonic drinks. It makes Sonic all the more sweeter because the closest one to us is about 45 minutes away and not worth the drive. Plus we never ever have reason to go anywhere near the one here so going to them in Las Vegas makes it worth it! Silly I know but I love this picture of Emma!
Again, this is Jenna. I love this picture of her. She's so big! (sorry J.J. not to make it sound like you're a heifer because you're not) It seems like every time we go home all the nieces and nephews have changed so much. It occurred to me with this photo just how much Jenna has grown up!
K this picture totally makes me laugh and just to let you all know I did make Emma move her feet after (of course) I took this picture. There sits Caitlyn totally asleep while Emma's feet are practically in her face! I guess love means having feet in your face!
There's not much I can say about this picture that makes it one of the favorites except that all you have to say to Gavin (typically) is SMILE and he whips one out to take a great picture. This kid is happy 99.9% of the time. Gotta love that!
Another great thing about Grandma's house is having a real piano. Emma brought all her music to play for Grandpa and Grandma and anybody else who would listen. She played all the time and loved it. I never once told her to go practice, she just wanted to play. How great is that?
My little brother T. and Gavin his youngest. SEE he is just a happy kid! Yes I'm calling my brother a kid! Just joshin!
So this is the last picture of the post and it leads into the next post that will come tomorrow hopefully which is about Thanksgiving dinner. Here is Craig. He wanted to help so bad. For whatever reason he got it into his head that he wanted to peel potatoes for the mashed potatoes for our Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't want to disappoint him and tell him he couldn't so I sat him up on the counter opposite the sink and showed him how to use the peeler. As you can see he got quite a bit of it before he gave up on the task. He worked at it for a long time but finally decided that this wasn't his cup of tea. Mind you he's only three! I love that my Mom didn't care if he sat up on the counter and that Craig wanted to help. Such a sweet sweet memory for me because watching him concentrate on peeling that one potato was the cutest thing in the world!
