I have to start by saying that Christmas is always great. This year however, Christmas was more than just great. My parents, upon seeing that everyone one of their kids would have plans for Christmas morning (for the very first year), decided they needed to join us in our celebrations. I was more than thrilled to have them! It's been a number of years since we did anything with any other family for Christmas and so to have extended family with us was so so great! To commemorate this great time and this wonderful memory of family, I've decided to post the cutest, the goofiest, and the sweetest parts of our Christmas! We start with...
THE CUTESTI love this little smile that is laced with so much 8 year old, "Ya right MOM!"
THE GOOFIEST
This picture is the funniest moment to me. I made these bookmarks for Dad, Mom and Emma but no one knew what they were for. Mom had wondered if this is what they were for!!!
THE SWEETEST
This is the last picture because I thought it was the sweetest one of all. You know the saying a picture is worth a thousand words? This one is not quite a thousand but it does say a couple of things to me. First it screams of tradition. For as long as I can remember someone in our family has taken a nap on Christmas day. The second thing it says to me is that Mom and Dad were totally comfy at my house which of course makes me feel like the hostess with the mostest. The third thing it says to me is that with family I can always depend on the same things happening no matter what circumstance I'm in which in turn makes me feel very safe and secure. Lastly aren't those just the sweetest people on the planet? I tend to think so!

I think this is a sweet post. I didn't get to have my parents with me for Christmas this year (for the first time in about 15 years). So I love how much you enjoyed having your parents with you! Remember those moments!
